Tuesday, March 13

Day 72

Positioned to take maximum advantage of the water views,
this seat is one of a few on the cliff top path leading to the beach

Monday, March 12

Day 71

The first grasshopper I've seen this year!

Sunday, March 11

Day 70

I've got a collection of African violets & these new plants are all from cuttings
— now I need to find homes for them!

Saturday, March 10

Day 69

This heron was ambling along the path a few metres in front of us
when it sensed we were getting too close it soared for a short distance & then continued walking again.

Friday, March 9

Day 68

PT swims, whilst I walk the distance along the water's edge

Thursday, March 8

Day 67

Grabbed a real bargain with these frames
at a 30% off sale, they'll be perfect for an idea I have in mind.

Wednesday, March 7

Day 66

Watched this lone windsurfer
as we walked along the path leading down to the beach today.

Tuesday, March 6

Day 65

Out with the old!
doing a purge ready to donate a few items — this one might already be too ancient though
as it's about five years old.

Monday, March 5

Day 64

In June 2010 I posted a photo similar to this —
taken down at the dam it was just one of the many wonderful sights we'd always enjoyed.
Nearly every day was a treat, with frogs, ducks, ibis, eagles, hawks & other wildlife visiting . . .

Not any more!
Today we watched in dismay (along with others) as developers took that away from us.
All that's left is a muddy, sloppy, stenchy mess & a lot of residents wondering what the next move will be!

Sunday, March 4

Day 63

Bearing fruit at long last perhaps?
our lemon tree really suffers from the harsh conditions where we live —
westerly winds & salt spray taking their toll — after four years this is the first time it has ever produced flowers.

Saturday, March 3

Day 62

Decorated fruit cake, made by my youngest DD
completed over four weeks in a cake decorating class —
her very first attempt & just gorgeous!

Friday, March 2

Day 61

Silverwater Estate

Thursday, March 1

Day 60

ATC swaps arrived today — lots of gorgeous cards done by the talented BC ladies

Project 365

2012 . . .
oh dear, only 78 days,
so that'd be an F?

2011 . . .
neglected after 85 days,
it's another F!

2010 . . .
all done,
it's an A+!

2009 . . .
8 weeks of layouts only,
it's an F for fail!

I live in a beautiful part of the world, with glorious ocean views, kangaroos bounding across the hilltops, assorted wildlife (echidnas, cape barron geese etc), birdlife & reptiles (not all nice . . . tiger snakes & copperheads —eek!)
