Day 27
Bird of Paradise . . .
it's huge & one of the top decks will be the perfect place to display it
once we've purchased a really big pot.
Until then this will be it's temporary home for the next few days.

Day 23
Phillip Island Penguin Parade
Every evening at dusk the little penguins emerge from the sea & trek across the sand
to their burrows around Summerland Beach.
Native to Australia, they are the smallest of their species at just 30cm.
They leave their burrows again about an hour before sunrise & swim up to 100kms each day.

Wollemi Pine
one of the world's oldest & rarest plants dating back to the time of the dinosaurs.

it is the focus of extensive research to safeguard its survival.
