Agnes Falls — at 59 metres, the highest single span falls in Victoria
Agnes River Catchment
Cool water from trickling mountain streams drain the southern slopes of the Strzelecki Ranges
before flowing into the meandering Agnes River.
The Agnes Catchment is 67 square kilometres (6700 ha) & includes the areas of
Gunyah Gunyah, Wonyip, Mount Best, Woorarra & Hazel Park.
The area is primarily comprised of plantation forest & farmland
& has a rainfall of over 1200mm each year.
After heavy rain, the Falls transform into a spectacular cascade.
